Portground process digitization in logistics and customs

Portground is part of Mitteldeutsche Airport Holding and is responsible for cargo and passenger handling. In the area of eCommerce cargo handling, processes were largely solved manually and with the help of Excel tables. This resulted in a lack of traceability, frequent errors in process execution and the inefficient process severely limited the number of shipments that could be processed per day.

Individual solution

Development of a system to improve process speed and quality. This includes a mobile application for scanning parcels, the connection of an automated sorting machine to sort parcels according to customs status and MAWB, an interface for the automated receipt and checking of shipment declarations and the creation of a comprehensive web-based application for Portground employees. In addition, it is possible to view and manage all shipments, registrations, storage locations and customs declarations.
